Upcoming Enactments

The concluding Series of the project will consists of:


Red Day (Series #17) – Red Day is the final series of the In The Red project. It will involve numerous performers dressing in red-mummy costumes, making series of actions and choreography. 


In this final series, Jelili will collaborate with artists, dramatists, cinematographers, film producers, photographers, choreographers, and other practitioners in the creative field around the world.

  • Red Day (Series #17) will be enacted and installed during Material Effects, an exhibition at Eli and Edythe Broad Art Museum,  Michigan State University
East Lansing, MI, USA from November 7 2015 – April 3, 2016. 
  • Documentation of Eleniyan (Series #13) will be exhibited at Fantastic Contemporary, Michaelis Galleries, University of Cape Town, Cape Town, South Africa, From September 6 - October 17 2015. 


Call for Volunteers/Participants


You are free to volunteer to participate by performing in the upcoming Red Day (Series #17 of the project). Volunteers must be willing to wear the costume and participate actively in the enactment of the performance. Prior knowledge of performance is not require but the participants must be physically fit and healthy.  For more inquiries contact:
